In the “Timesheet > Admin extra > Attributes” page it is possible to manage attributes for the following items:
An attribute is a self-defined property that can be given a value in the application. The values for attributes of registered hours can be entered in the popup-remark page in the timesheet.

All other attributes can be found in the admin pages for each attribute type (e.g. projects attributes on the projects admin page) on a separate attribute tab.
In the “data type” field of the attribute admin page, the type of data for the attribute can be selected.

For attributes that use these data types the input is checked for being a numeric value.
When selecting the data type “text”, the resulting input type is a text area to input any type of text. It is also provides possible to enter the number of lines. The “number of lines” value determines the height of the input field used for entering the attribute’s value.
Attributes of the data type “date” use the calendar tool for entering the date. The data input is checked against the date format setting as it was entered in the system settings page.
For attributes of the data type “time” the value entered is checked for the correct format. Only values between 00:00 and 24:00 are accepted as valid.
When the data type “domain” is used, the value for the attributes can be selected from a dropdown list. These domains are maintained in the “Timesheet > Admin extra > Domains” page.

The data types “header” and “page” exist for layout purposes. By adding an attribute of the header type just the name of this header is shown in bold between the other attributes. This way attributes can be grouped together under a header.
The “page” data type is also for grouping attributes. This attribute creates a new tab in the admin pages with the attribute name as the tab name.

In the search report, all attributes of registered hours, employees, projects and project elements can be reported. In the report page which attribute types should be displayed can be selected using checkboxes. The search report also allows filtering using all attributes of the “domain” type. In the report result, totals will be shown for all attributes that have the quantity, money or hour data type.
