Communicate calendar items
When entering calendar items in the month calendar or in the planner we can communicate the newly entered items using mail and with attached iCalendar format files. In the system setting page (Calendar/Planning > Settings > System settings) we select the communication setting separately for each of the three calendar item types.

disabled
When “disabled” is selected, no further action is taken when a new calendar item is created, an existing calendar item is edited or when a calendar item is removed.
When the “e-mail” option is selected an e-mail is sent for every new calendar item that is entered, every calendar item that is changed and every calendar item that is removed.
The subject for a new planning item e-mail will be like this:
new event -> DRAGONBOARD - PROGRAMMING
The content body of the e-mail will look like this:
subject:DRAGONBOARD - PROGRAMMING
location:Atlanta
priority:average
start date/time:26-04-2010
end date/time:30-04-2010
description:5 day programming session at the Dragonboard headquarters
e-mail & iCalendar
When the “e-mail & iCalendar” option is selected, the mail will look the same as in the “e-mail” option but it will have a file attached to it. By double clicking the attached file, the calendar item can be imported into any calendar application that supports the iCalendar format (For example Microsoft Outlook, iCal from Apple, Google calendar).
